What a channel manager does

A channel manager connects hotel availability and rates to a supported sales channel and converts new or changed reservations into PMS records. The aim is to reduce manual updates and the risk of different systems showing different information.

Booking.com connection with readiness checks

Libar supports property onboarding, readiness checks, incoming reservation retrieval and recovery, and outgoing availability and rate synchronisation for Booking.com. The operator has connection status, diagnostics and controlled reprocessing.

Activation depends on Booking.com access and approval, data and mapping for the specific property, and final checks before launch.

Status of each sales channel, without vague promises

Libar distinguishes its built-in channel, its most production-ready OTA connection, calendar synchronisation and prepared integration layers. Before deciding, the hotel can see what is available immediately and what requires approval, data or further activation.

How a reservation reaches reception

When a supported channel sends a reservation, Libar retrieves it, checks the data and connects it to the hotel's workflow. The team then sees the guest, dates, room type, source and status alongside other arrivals.

  • Incoming reservations
  • Recovery and reprocessing with diagnostics
  • Outgoing availability and prices
  • Property and accommodation-type mapping
  • Visible connection status for the operator

Status and diagnosis are as important as synchronization

An integration is not complete when the account is connected. The operations team needs to know whether the connection is ready, when the last exchange succeeded and how a problematic reservation can be recovered safely. Libar therefore retains diagnostic context and an operational recovery path.

What hotel prepares before activation

The hotel confirms property details, accommodation types, rate plans, mapping and authorised channel access. A technical check is followed by a controlled test of incoming and outgoing flows before activation.

  • The exact account and property on the sales channel
  • Mapping room types or units
  • Rate plans and sales rules
  • Initial availability status
  • Person responsible for the final check

Each channel and facility is confirmed before sale

The term channel manager does not mean that every channel is enabled. Booking.com is the most production-ready OTA connection, Airbnb is limited to iCal availability, Google Hotels depends on a wider setup, and Expedia is not an active production integration.

Channel connections are planned for each property

Libar plans grow from basic PMS and direct bookings to more advanced hotel operations. The final plan, connections and onboarding scope are confirmed for the channels, approvals and workflow of the specific property.
