From search to confirmed reservation
Public search uses available accommodation types and rate plans. After a selection, Libar checks the calculation again, temporarily holds the dates and then confirms the PMS reservation. Duplicate-confirmation protection helps prevent one attempt from creating two reservations.
| Step | What is checked | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Search | Dates, number of guests and available types | Show available options |
| 2. Offer | Rate plan and current calculation | Clear offer before confirmation |
| 3. Temporary hold | Availability reconfirmed | Dates are held while the booking is completed |
| 4. Confirmation | Guest information and final conditions | PMS reservation created transactionally |
| 5. Message | Successful confirmation | Email confirmation to the guest |
Direct sales do not end in the inbox
The confirmed reservation stores the guest, dates, accommodation type, price and source in Libar. Reception sees it alongside other arrivals and continues with room assignment, check-in, communication, the folio and check-out.
A clear guest journey supports conversion
Guests need to understand the dates and accommodation they are choosing, what the price includes and when their booking is actually confirmed. A short flow is not enough if it hides the terms; a good booking engine combines simplicity with renewed availability and price checks.
Online payments and policies are agreed separately
Booking engine should not hide what is included in the price. Taxes, fees, cancellation rules and payment methods are set according to the agreed hotel configuration. If an active online payment provider is not contracted and configured, the system does not represent that the card is charged.
Why connect booking engine and PMS
A separate form or inbox leaves reception to copy information manually and check availability again. A connected flow reduces handoffs and keeps the reservation source with the same stay.
- Availability from the same operational system
- Recheck price before confirmation
- Less manual entry for reception
- Email confirmation after successful creation
- A clear source of direct reservation
No Libar commission on direct bookings
Libar takes no percentage or commission on reservations made through the hotel's own booking link or widget. Any external payment provider or sales channel fees are separate from Libar.
What the hotel defines before launch
Before launch, the hotel confirms accommodation types, guest capacity, rate plans, taxes and fees, cancellation policies, confirmation content and the agreed payment method. The complete journey is then tested on mobile and desktop, including the actual reservation in the PMS.
Direct bookings start with the Direkt plan
The Direkt plan starts at €59 per month and is designed for a property that wants direct bookings without an OTA channel manager. The exact way to publish the booking link or widget is confirmed during onboarding.
